Historic / Landmark Buildings

STONE Engineering & Architecture, DPC works closely with property Owners and the Landmarks Preservation Commission to protect the historical, architectural, and aesthetic significance of buildings. We pay special attention to preserving each building's character and its historical significance. 

 Landmarks Preservation Commission:

Whether altering or updating infrastructure, installing state-of-the-art technology, or making improvements or repairs. STONE works closely with property Owners and the Landmarks Preservation Commission to protect the historical, architectural, and aesthetic significance of Landmarked buildings in and around New York City. Where restorative work is required, we secure the appropriate permits and work in a manner that carefully attends to and pay special attention to preserving each building's historic character. STONE carefully and unequivocally follows all legal requirements of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.

With the increased scrutiny of the Landmarks Preservation Commission in New York City, the commission is ensuring that all historical elements, features, and aesthetic at a historic property is retained and rebuilt to the closest possible detail as the existing, historic condition.
