Structural Engineer 

Job Overview:
STONE Engineering is looking for a Registered Structural Engineer (NY preferred) with adept latitude for independent judgment and perform in highly difficult and technically complex situations as an engineering specialist with structural engineering expertise. We are also looking for the structural Engineer to provide guidance to the design project teams and monitor tasks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Qualifications:
- Prepare complex plans, specifications and project schedules.
- Perform project coordination and ensure completion of engineering tasks.
- Conduct field visits (surveys in pre-design and design phase, and inspections of projects under construction) and emergency site visits including investigation of unsafe conditions throughout all five boroughs.
- Prepare complex condition assessment and feasibility reports and construction drawings using AutoCAD and provide specifications.
- Provide support during all phases of design and construction.
- Coordinate construction documents and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate with design teams to establish and assure implementation of structural design standards.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Sign and seal engineering and other official documents.
- Review projects designed by consultants.
- May serve as team leader on a project of great technical complexity.
- Represent STONE at meetings.

Experience:
Commercial and Residential Building and Construction Industry, min. 5 years of experience (Preferred)

Education:
Bachelor's (Required)

License:
A valid PE license in NY (Preferred)

Architectural Drafter

Job Overview:
Full-Time AutoCAD Drafter is needed to clean, set-up, and maintain all Architectural CAD backgrounds for the firm’s projects as they are received. The candidate will be required to clean, set-up and maintain backgrounds according to the firms established procedures and CAD standards. In-house training of company procedures and standards will be provided to the candidate in the first weeks of employment to ensure a smooth transition. (Possibility for growth).
You also be expected to work alongside designers, engineers and project managers to aid with trade specific drafting as needed.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, creating construction documents, understanding of construction documents and being able to assist in project related tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, ability to generate Field Observation and Conditions Reports based on ongoing project construction and repairs.
- Dedication and diligence are essential to the role, being able to work in tandem with all employees and a various range of projects.
- Being a self-starter, bringing an open mind, and having a high attention to detail at all aspects of the project and in-office tasks is highly valued.
- 3D modeling experience (Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, is a plus) (not required)
- Graphic Design experience (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus (not required)

Senior Project Manager 

Job Overview & Qualifications:
STONE Engineering & Architecture is seeking a Senior Project Manager who can manage multiple projects and has overall project management responsibility in the field of Restoration and Rehabilitation in Commercial, Residential, and Mechanical services. The individual's responsibilities will include but are not limited to; client relationships, scheduling, budgeting, and profitability for a variety of projects, is competent in all conventional aspects of architecture and performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection and adaptation/modification of standard techniques procedures and criteria. 
You also be expected to work alongside designers, engineers and other project managers to aid with trade specific drafting as needed.

Qualifications:
- Having a sound and diverse knowledge in architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments. Provide technical development of various project types; facade restoration, exterior rehabilitation, historic preservation, forensic investigation and interior alterations, etc.
- Have knowledge of current and historic construction types materials, and products used in restoration and construction, evaluate and implement procedures and techniques to be used on projects. Seek technical guidance on unusual or complex issues
- Prepare strategic plan for project success. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments
- Execute projects independently and/or by leading a small group of employees
- Plan and develop projects of medium to large scale scope and works under minimal supervision. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost effective execution of assigned projects
- Execute, and oversee support staff on, multiple projects in all project phases, including Investigation, Budget Estimating, Contract Document Preparation, Bidding and Negotiation, Municipal Filing, Construction Administration, and Close-out
- Perform and/or oversee performance of building site inspections
- Enforce quality control with contractor
- Anticipate and trouble-shoot project-specific problems and develop and implement solution in timely manner. Independently solve typical problems, seek guidance as need on complex problems encountered
- Keep current on building codes governing New York City. Awareness of historic building codes
- Navigate the public review process and regulatory agencies governing New York City for project filings
- Actively participate in a teamwork environment
- Effectively manage time to perform work duties in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively manage resources to meet project schedule and budget
- A Project Manager can expect to be "in the field" between 25% - 75% of their time during any given week

Experience:

10+ years of experience in the field of Architecture
Experience working on commercial and / or industrial projects preferred
Strong knowledge of NYC Building Codes

Project Associate 

Job Overview & Qualifications:
STONE Engineering & Architecture is seeking a full-time Project Associate with 0-1 year(s) of previous experience to join our team of professionals. This position requires the support of our architectural projects, including but not limited to; field visits and survey production, photograph documentation, preparation and production of base architectural drawings (Building elevations, floor plans, etc..), reports, and project bid forms. The Project Associate is responsible for understanding and completing assigned project goals, contributing to the success of the project, team involvement and striving for excellence in your work.

Qualifications:

- Works well in a collaborative environment
- Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
- Adheres to our design standards

Project Manager 

Job Overview & Qualifications:
STONE Engineering & Architecture is seeking a full-time Project Manager with 5-7 years of previous experience. This position will lead projects, report to the office leadership, and manage intermediate and junior designers. Candidates should have high level CAD and construction document skills and must know AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have thorough architectural training, although he/she does not need to be licensed.
You also be expected to work alongside designers, engineers and other project managers to aid with trade specific drafting as needed.

Qualifications:
- Managing residential, commercial projects and other Design/Restoration projects
- Understanding clients' needs and the repairs required at the building, developing restorative concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs and designs.
- Developing and managing all phases of the design/ documentation process
- Producing client presentations, reports, and meeting minutes
- Developing details, DOB & LPC Plans, working closely with all City Agencies, and possibility of creation of rendering design concepts
- Mentor and train junior project team members, assist with other projects 

Experience:
AutoCAD proficiency and understanding of the program to generate construction documents and essential drawings (Min. 5-7 Years)
5+ years of experience in the field of Architecture
