Asbestos Investigation

The restoration and rehabilitation of any property constructed prior to April 1, 1987, is required to be tested for the presence of (ACM) or Asbestos Containing Material in the area where work is to occur. STONE ensures that samples of areas assumed to be containing ACM will be carefully removed, stored, and transported to a certified laboratory for analysis and testing for possible ACM contaminants. The number and type of samples taken depends on the scope and size of the project at hand.
Prior to inception into construction and restoration of a project, an ACM investigation is to occur dependent on the scope of work. STONE can act on behalf of management to assist in the complexities of providing an asbestos investigation prior to construction. The asbestos investigation will ensure that work doesn't begin in an area that is found to be contaminated. If asbestos is found, it will have to be abated by a third party service. STONE can also assist in filing an ACP-5, which is the form on which a project is filed with the proper New York City Building Agency and is required to be filed prior to the start of any project where renovation, rehabilitation or demolition work is to occur, no matter the size which dictates and verifies that your project is free from asbestos.
Our comprehensive Asbestos investigation services can include inspections of various building sizes and types ranging from industrial, educational, commercial and residential buildings. Our team at STONE pride ourselves on assisting with investigations in a professional and steadfast manner so that all the necessary documentation in the determination of asbestos contaminants is available to obtain Building Department approval and a steadfast project completion.
