Another gorgeous property in NYC, 528 Riverside boasts decorative stone and masonry mixed over the riverfront of the city. Although it wasn't the façade that required immediate repairs, it was the retaining wall at the rear of the property, accessible to both the building staff and residents. STONE did the appropriate observations and structural calculations to install new structural elements that connected the retaining wall to the building for support and safety to all below.
RETAINING WALL REINFORCEMENT INSTALLATION
New structural elements were installed at the existing retaining wall at the rear of the property to reinfoce the wall from any possible failures.
Upon installation of new steel, STONE diesgned for the form and pour of a new footing at the base of the steel with new concrete for additional strctural support for the retaining wall, all for the safety of the building, residents, and workers.
STONE utilized the building as a strcutral support and buffer for the connection between the adjacent retaining wall. This allowed for more securty of the wall for a lower rate of possilbe failure.
