The roof of 45 Tudor exposed the majority of decorative stone, with the perimeter of the roof containing a decorative stone parapet STONE worked closely with Landmarks Preservation Commission to achieve in-kind replacement of all decorative stone items and colors. Upon completion, the decorative stone parapet was outfitted with a new copper thru wall flashing at the inboard and was attention grabbing from the street.

STONE made sure to apply our attention to detail to all the decorative stone locations all around the building. Repairs were carefully tended to, to acheive the historic aesthethic without altering the facade in any way while retaining the original character. STONE recaulked repaired all observed, deteriorated or damaged decorative stone as per original look and Landmarks approval. 

STONE made sure that all historical elements around the building were restored and patched to their original and historic condition and colorway. STONE made sure that all decorative elements repaired would withstand the elements for years to come.

STONE also paid close attention to the shingle roof at the top of the building, Sourcing the matching shingles to match historical characteristics as well as repairing the adjacent decorative stone, tying both items together to create a seamless, brand new look, without the leaks.

STONE also attended to the replacement of existing roofing system and installed new pavers to match the decorative stone and contrast the masonry for the tenants to enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding neighborhood. 

Just as STONE tended to the decorative limestone, STONE also paid close attention to the rest of the facade . Masonry replacement was performed at locations where cracked masonry was observed and repointed with historical mortar to match existing historical conditions as well as replacement to lintels that were found to be in extremely deteriorated condition.

STONE took into account all of the terraces at 45 Tudor, conducting a roofing system replacement to allow for the installation of pavers, due to the additional height posed by the pavers installation, STONE outfitted the parapet with matching decorative stone color side mounted railings. These railings didnt alter the appearance of the stone beyond and gave the roof the code compliance required to receive a SAFE status. Finishing up the aesthestic of the roof was by conducting reparis at the adjacent masonry where required.
